The Paris City Council is meeting in regular session on Monday, December 8th at 5:30pm in the City Council Chamber at 107 E. Kaufman Street. The meeting includes a citizen’s forum and is open to the public.
Three public hearings are on the agenda to discuss Ordinances that would change zoning. The council members will also receive project updates and possibly act on Resolutions to close out the contract for the Phase I and Phase 2 of the TWDB water line replacement project.
Also on the agenda is a possible Resolution requesting that TxDOT proceed with plans to close the crossover located in the 5000 block of SE Loop 286 that has been the site of several fatal accidents. A plan to install a turnaround lane for the southbound traffic approximately 550 feet south of the current crossover will also be discussed.
Other agenda items include amendments to the Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook, providing direction to city staff on storm water utility and a possible 2015 bond program.
The council will also be convening into closed Executive Session to consult with the city attorney.
