Sammy Lynn Miller, 71, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
The family has scheduled a memorial graveside service for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29th, at Charleston Cemetery with Rev. Gary Reagan officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Sammy, the son of L. C. & Dainie Miller, was born July 3, 1941, in Charleston. He was baptized in 1951.
His career with Hollywood Vasarette spanned twenty-five years before the plant closed. He then worked a number of years in Dallas before his retirement.
Survivors include his son, Shannon Miller of Paris, a grandson, Max Miller of Paris, one niece, Kay Hendley of Dallas, a great nephew, Jackie Hendley of Dallas along with many loved ones and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 5501 Plaza Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503.
