Donna Archer0001Donna Abbott Archer, 87, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Drake & Rev. Harvey Blackshear officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery at Taylortown. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Archer, the daughter of Jess & Ida Mae Goforth Abbott, was born June 26, 1926, in Lamar County. She graduated from Cunningham High School and Paris Junior College. She was a dedicated minister’s wife for many years serving her Lord and church family at Highway Full Gospel Church. She is remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Dverle Archer whom she married on July 11, 1946, building sixty-six years of family and memories, three children, Dvonnie Saffell & husband Shane, Sammy Archer & wife Donna and Eddie Archer & wife Carie all of Paris, grandchildren, Shana Meusel & husband Justin of Greenville, Brad Archer & wife Lisa of Paris, Aimee McQuaid & husband Martin of Roanoke, Jeremy Archer & wife Kristen of Paris and Carlee Archer of Paris, great grandchildren, Lauren Meusel of Greenville, Samantha, Katy & Benjamin McQuaid of Roanoke, Max & Jake Archer of Paris and Brandt, Breann and Bryce Archer of Paris, two sisters, Flossie Hood & husband W. P. of Houston and Margie Erwin and husband Jim, along with many nieces & nephews and  a plethora of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Justin Archer, and eight siblings; Viola Scott, Jessie Lee Allen, Kathleen Malone, Bill Abbott, General Abbott, Shorty Abbott, Willie Ray Abbott and Melvin Abbott.

Casket bearers will be: Brad Archer, Jeremy Archer, Mike Malone, Lawrence Malone, Justin Meusel, Tony Clark, Aaron Driggers and Kent Driggers.

bryan pnNorma Jean Bryan, 79, of Reno, died at 6:55 P.M., Monday, June 24, 2013 at Paris Oaks Assisted Living Center. Funeral services are set for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Reger and Rev. Travis Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral Home.

Mrs. Bryan was born on October 4, 1933 in Paris a daughter of Edward and Lovie Compton Porter. On October 29, 1950 she married Sebourn Edward Bryan in Paris. Mrs. Bryan worked for Sears in the mail order department and she especially loved working with children as a teacher’s aide at Thomas Justiss for many years. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan were antique automobile enthusiast and were very active members of the Red River Valley Honkers Automobile Club where she held several offices.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sebourn Edward Bryan on July 12, 2012, parents, sisters Dorothy McFadden and Betty Poole.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by her son Royce Glen Bryan and wife Donna, of Lindenhurst, New York; grandchildren Christopher Glen Bryan, Kelly Marie Bryan-Porcella, and Megan Jean Bryan; great grandchildren Emma Christine Bryan, Aidan Glen Bryan, Thomas Anthony Porcella III and Silas John Porcella; brothers Travis Ray Porter and William (Billy) Porter.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Bryan, Kelley Porter, Brady Porter, Jimmy McFadden, David McFadden and Joe Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Red River Valley Honkers Automobile Club. If desired in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church 3523 CR 42600 Paris, Texas 75462.
