Ruby Lee Holley, 93, of Mt. Vernon passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her residence. She was a former longtime resident of Paris. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born on December 21, 1921 in Delta Co., Texas a daughter of Walter and Nora Hooten Miller. She was a homemaker, worked for Hollywood Vassarette, and was in health care. Mrs. Holley was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Mt. Vernon. She married Alvie L. Holley on January 12, 1943 in Paris. He preceded her in death in May of 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Holley is survived by her children Dearld Holley and wife Donna of Powderly, Ruby Louise Smith and husband David Lee of Mt. Vernon and Debra Mullins and husband Tim of Blossom; grandchildren Buddy Holley, Trina Shirley, Lynn Lewis, Scotty Holley, Alvie Holley, Katie Holley, Ruby Melette Dalby, David Smith, Wesley Nance and Christina Nance; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; and a sister Nora Bell Brannon and husband Rebel.
Margarito C. Bibia, 79, of Paris, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at his home.
A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19th at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20th, at the church. Arrangements are under the care & direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mr. Bibia was born June 10, 1935, in Mexico, where he will be taken for his burial by his family.
