Blanche R. Roberts, 93, of Paris, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20th, at College Church of Christ in Paris with Nolan Butler officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth. The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Paris.
Mrs. Roberts, the daughter of Guy & Roxie Cate Reid, was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Abilene. On June 2, 1937, she married William Herschel Roberts, building fifty-nine years of family and memories before his death in 1996.
She was an artist and enjoyed crafts such as knitting, crochet and macramé. During World War II she worked for the U. S. Navy disassembling planes that had been damaged in the war.
She was a member of College Church of Christ in Paris.
Survivors include a daughter, Claudene Cochran of Paris, two granddaughters, Kimberly Harris of Ft. Worth and Tracy Martinez of Taylortown, five great grandchildren, John Harris of Blossom, Benjamin Harris of Ft. Worth, Travis Palmer of Taylortown, Kristy Taylor of Paris and Jonathan Phillips of Taylortown, eight great great grandchildren, Justin Harris of Blossom, Jacob Harris of Blossom, Alyssa Harris of Blossom, Nicholas Harris of Ft. Worth, Noah Harris of Ft. Worth, Bailey Taylor of Paris, Chloe Taylor of Paris and Autumn Taylor of Paris.

Mary E. Crowder, 97, of Reno, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012, at her home.
Cremation is under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. No formal services are scheduled. Her cremated remains will be scattered at sea along with her husband’s.
Mrs. Crowder, the daughter of Rev. Herbert A. Norris & Cloyce Byrd Norris, was born July 16, 1915, in Myrtle, Mississippi.
She married Ben Crowder on Oct. 2, 1938, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1987.
She taught school a number of years and worked on the Rations Board during World War II. She was a member of the Tulsa Chapter of The Eastern Star and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Crowder & wife Sarah of Aikin, SC and Richard Crowder of Reno, two grandsons, Denis Crowder and David Crowder, numerous great grandchildren along with a sister, Francys Faulkner.

Mrs. Dean Brown Alexander, 80, of the Maxey Community passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her residence after an extended illness.
Dean Alexander was born on October 31, 1932 in Direct, Texas a daughter of Charles Lesley and Lucy Myrtle Watson Brown. She was retired from Communications Apparatus Corporation, was a homemaker, and a member of the Baptist Church. She loved her family, cooking, the outdoors, attending garage sales, and her greatest delight was playing with her grandchildren. On January 24, 1952 in Paris she married Billy Joe Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Weldon Britt, brothers Otis, Edward, Alvin, Bud, Winford, and Kenneth.
Survivors include her husband Billy Joe Alexander; children Brenda Gail Britt, Robert Craig Alexander and wife Jennifer, Billy Howard Alexander and wife Mary; grandchildren Brian Craig Alexander, Crystal Dejona Allen, Matt Logan Alexander, Cody Alexander, Brittney Alexander, Zac Farar and 4 great grandchildren; a sister Lucy Bee Cannady.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2012 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pyles Cemetery. Mrs. Edna Earl “Mimi” Whitlock Jones, 91, of Chandler passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Chandler at her residence.
Edna Earl Whitlock Jones was born on March 10, 1921 in Paris the daughter of Elmer Earl and Adelle Bunch Whitlock. She served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1944 till 1946 during World War II as a WAC. Edna was a member of the Baptist Church and was retired from LTV in Grand Prairie.
On November 11, 1948 she married James Samuel Jones. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1963. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother William E. Whitlock, and a son-in-law Loyd Freelen.
She is survived by her daughters Lila Freelen of Detroit and Glenda Turner and husband Warren of Chandler; grandchildren Lisa McKibben, Lara Sanders, Leah Hamilton, Michael Turner and Jimmy Turner; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the McDonald Cemetery with Rev. Doug Higdon, pastor of First Baptist Church in Detroit, officiating.
