Paris Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Rheumatologist, Thamilvani Thiruvasahar, M.D.

Dr. Thiruvasahar received her medical degree from Faculty of Medicine University in Sri Lanka. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and a Rheumatology Fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Dr. Thiruvasahar is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
What is a Rheumatologist? A rheumatologist is specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and other diseases of the bones, muscles and joints, as well as many autoimmune diseases. Rheumatic diseases are often complex and hard to diagnose. There are more than 100 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, lupus, tendonitis and fibromyalgia.
