Professional Truck Driving I is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, April 6-17. This class offers hands-on skill and development and instruction coordinated with the Department of Transportation.
The Driver’s Education class, approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety, meets from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, April 6-30.
Kids Hurt Too, a seminar designed to help parents understand their children’s needs throughout the process of a divorce, is offered Tuesday, April 7, 6 to 9 p.m.
The Initial Basic Life Support class on lifesaving skills for respiratory and cardiac emergencies will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. The American Heart Association certifies the class.
Nurse Aide Skills Refresher is for any student wanting to refresh their Nurse Aide skills prior to their certification test. Students must register 48 hours in advance. The class is offered Monday, April 13, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Microsoft Word Level 2: Beyond the Basics will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, April 13-20. Learn advanced formatting techniques to enhance documents.
Microsoft Excel Level 1: Essentials will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 14- 21. Learn the basics of creating a worksheet; working with formulas and functions; formatting a worksheet; working with charts, and analyzing data using formulas.
Basic Life Support Recertification for CPR certified cardholders is offered from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, April 17. The American Heart Association certifies the class.
Professional Truck Driving II is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, April 20 –May 1. Basic and advanced skills drill and safe operating practices for shifting and backing are included in this class.
Medication Aide Update will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24. The course fulfills Texas Department of Health specifications on annual renewal requirement. Med Aides should take this course one month before their certification card expires.
