Robert Joseph “Bobby” Bankston, 27, of Paris passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Bobby was born on March 9, 1986 in Tyler, Texas a son of Robert and Virginia Robbins Bankston. He was an employee of Metro Gate. He loved playing baseball as a kid, golfing and was a fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Cowboys. He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids.
He is survived by his mother Virginia Bankston and husband Ray, father Robert Bankston and wife Tammy, children Celeste and Gabriel Bankston, wife Rebecca Spivey Bankston, brothers Daniel Cover and Michael Bankston, grand-mother Betty Smith and husband Danny, and life-long friend Eric Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday September 25, 2013 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery with Cody Holman, Eric Adams, Trace Ellis, Woody Washington, Chris Overturf and Ronnie Blake serving as pallbearers. Lillian Ruth Holdeman, 71, of Maxey passed away September 22, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on February 14, 1942 in DeRidder, Louisiana a daughter of Orval Earl and Minnie Schmidt Ratzloff. She and her husband were owners of The Country Bake Shop and Mrs. Holdeman will be remembered by many for all her delicious baked goods, baked at The Country Bake Shop and sold in front of CVS Pharmacy in Paris. She was a member of the West Haven Mennonite Church.
She married Adin Paul Holdeman on July 15, 1962 in DeRidder, Louisiana. He survives. She is also survived by her mother Minnie Ratzloff; and children Cherylyn Unruh and husband Mike, Jennifer Penner and husband Delton, Weston Holdeman and wife Lee, Rodger Holdeman and wife Valerie, Maria Friesen and husband Greg; grandchildren Ashley, Austin, Carlin, Waylan, LeAnn, Lance, Marshall, Monica, Devin, Leah, Alex, Emily, Travis, Lana, Josh, Zane, Rhea, Carmen and Jaxon; brothers Robert Ratzloff and Ed Ratzloff; sisters Delores Koehn and Karen Boyd.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the West Haven Mennonite Church, Maxey, Texas (on CR 34300 south of FM 38). Interment will follow in the West Haven Mennonite Cemetery with Ashley Unruh, Austin Unruh, Lance Penner, Devin Holdeman, Travis Holdeman, and Zane Friesen serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Wednesday at the West Haven Mennonite Church. Gladys Lucille Jenkins, 96 of Paris, passed away Friday, September 21, 2013.
A graveside service is set for Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
She is survived by her nephew, Billy Troy Martin and his family; adopted granddaughter, Janice Arnold and husband Jody and their children, Miranda, Shanna, Christopher, Shane and Jeremy; numerous special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Jenkins; parents, Rufus and Anna Beville.
