Carl J. Cooper, Jr., 85, of Paris, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19th, at First United Methodist Church in Paris with Rev. Van Lazaroff officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Rockwall Cemetery in Rockwall. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cooper, the son of Carl J. Cooper, Sr. & Ethel Shaw Cooper, was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Dodd City, Texas.

He owned and operated Carl J. Cooper Insurance Agency for thirty years. Carl was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Lynn Cooper on November 1, 1990, and by a sister, Jeanette Conn.

On Oct. 16, 1999, he married Trudye Hill Morris, and she survives him as does a daughter, Carlene Blessing & husband Brian of Rockwall, grandson, Russell Blessing of Galveston, step-daughter, Laura Litton of Saginaw, two step-grandchildren, Shonna Litton Brown & husband Adam of San Diego and Trey Litton of the home, a step-great granddaughter, Kaila Brown, a nephew, Don Conn, a niece, Janis Cook along with a plethora of friends.

Casket bearers will be: Steve Wright, Bob Jones, Curtis Meier, Mackey Charles, Dick Crawford and T. J. Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial, P. O. Box 1133, Paris, TX 75461.

Alvin Gale Morrison, 68 of Paris, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating.  Interment will follow at Long Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.

He served in the United States Army and retired from Kimberly-Clark.

He is survived by his children, Gale Morrison and wife Tammy, Jeff Morrison, Terri Dickey and husband Michael; grandchildren, Jennifer Ellis and husband Jeremy, John McDonald and wife Valerie, Bradley Morrison and wife Gena, Brittany Wayland and husband Tyler, Stormie Carlson and husband Joshua, Jeffrey Morrison, Adrinna Morrison, Lakota Morrison, Colten Morrison, Eric Dickey, Kevin Dickey, Cameron Dickey; great-grandchildren, John McDonald Jr. Korbin McDonald, Bailey Ellis, Ethan Ellis, Kylee Morrison; sisters, Mary Flippen, Daphane Tackett and husband Thomas, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Josephine Morrison; brother; Linoel Morrison; sisters, Alta Beeler, Janet Preston; brother-in-law, Bob Flippen.

Pallbearers will be Robert Berry, David Doyal, Shelby Womack, Paul Hostetler, David Nicholson, Jeremy Ellis.  Honorary Pallbearer will be George Hines.
