Paris Junior College announced earlier this week that head Basketball Coach of the PJC Dragons, Chuck Taylor, (pictured) is leaving to join the staff at North Carolina Central University.
In a statement PJC president Dr. Pam Anglin stated, “We will miss him but we’re thankful for the time he’s been at PJC and all the accomplishments he has brought to the college, as well as his concern for the students. He cared as much or more for their educational attainments as for their athletic achievement. We wish him the very best,” Anglin said.
Taylor was twice named coach of the year in Region XIV for the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons when he lead the Dragons to regular-season conference titles.
The search is for next head basketball coach for the Dragons in underway.
