Laura J. Sharrock, 66, of Paris, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, at her home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3rd, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Teague & Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sharrock, the daughter of George W. Jury, III and Laura B. Smith Jury, was born March 1, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Paris. Laura served in the mission field having traveled to Africa, India, Taiwan, and Wales. She also did mission work in South Dakota and Montana. She was a volunteer at the Paris Pregnancy Care Center.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Kilpatrick. Survivors include her husband, James D. Sharrock, whom she married in 1963, building fifty years of family & memories, her parents who live in Paris, three children, DeeAnn Lunsford & husband Roger of Powderly, Brent Sharrock & Amber of the Pinhook Community, and Mark Sharrock & Amissa of McKinney, grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Jared & Marah, Jacob, Brittany & Tyler, Emily, Chloe, Haleigh, Chesney, Taylor, Harley, and Amber, great grandchildren, Jayden, Kensley, Tatum, Asher and Vallen, two brothers, George Jury, IV of Georgia and David Jury of California, a sister, Carol Knutson of Colorado along with many nieces and nephews and a plethora of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Jeremy Brown, Joshua Brown, Jared Brown, Jacob Brown, Jayden Brown and Tyler Frazier.
