Myrna Gwen Ramsey Jones 81, of Reno, died at 10:38 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Stillhouse Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. A graveside service is set for 2:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2015 at Red Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Myrna was born September 16, 1934 in Powderly to Wylie Thurman and Opal Francis Alvord Ramsey. She was married to Claude Smith Jones on May 15, 1949. They were married for twenty-one years. Together, they had three children. She was a hairdresser for many years and member of the Powderly Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Butch Jones and wife, Michelle of Denton, Cody Valley Jones of Reno, and Gwen Ciempka and husband, John of Reno; two brothers, Zoel Ramsey and wife, Mary of Powderly and Lucky Ramsey of Pecan Gap; one sister, Iris and Benton Rainey of Paris; eight grandchildren, Kacy Jones and wife, Dana of Dallas, Kassidy Jones and wife, Ula of Malibu, California, Dustin Cade Hilliard of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Katherine Shea Jones Maxwell and husband, Josh of Detroit, Kimberly Brianne Hale Allmon and husband, Patrick of Reno, Jeremy Max Jones of Paris, Kody Lee Jones of Denton, and Karley Davita Jones of Denton; twelve great-grandchildren, Ivie Allmon, Harper Jones, Elonia Allmon, Campbell Jones, Brandon Allmon, Oliver Jones, Kloie Allmon, Rayleigh Allmon, Landon Jones, Ella Maxwell, Levi Allmon, and Cora Beth Hilliard; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ercil Galyn Ramsey; a sister, Harvelan Fawn Ramsey Brasier; a nephew, Monte Kurt Ramsey; a great-niece, MiKyla Pickering; and a special aunt, Bronis Ramsey Cook.

Joe Dalton Smallwood 68, of the Faught Community, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at his home. A graveside service is set for 10:00 AM, Monday, October 12, 2015 at Providence Cemetery with Patrick Cannon officiating. The family will be at the home. Joe was born March 1, 1947 in Lamar County to Jim and Helen Latham Smallwood. He graduated from Powderly High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sandra Jean Peace on June 6, 1969 at the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. Mr. Smallwood was a gifted carpenter.
Mr. Smallwood is survived by his wife, Sandra Smallwood of Faught; two daughters, Amber Shed and husband, Staton of Cedar Park, Texas and Tara Conlin and David Parker of Paris; his mother, Helen Smallwood of Paris; five grandchildren, Oren, Parker and Evan Shed, and Kyra and Kaitlyn Conlin; his mother-in-law, Louise Peace of Faught; five siblings, S.C. “PeeWee” Smallwood and wife, Jennifer of Paris, Shirley Darnell of Paris, Nancy Freeman and husband, Buddy of Panama, Bobby Smallwood and wife, Shirley, and Jimmy Smallwood and wife, Donna, all of Paris; and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Larry Smallwood.
