While investigating a criminal trespass on January 31, 2016, in the 2000 block of E. Price Street, it was reported to Paris Police officers that Rokendric Reasno (pictured) had fled before officers arrival.
Officers were advised that Reasno had placed two cash registers inside a trash can at the residence. Officers recovered the cash registers and were allowed to search the residence for other stolen items.
Officers located a small safe hidden inside a closet. The safe had been damaged. When opened, Officers located a name of the possible owner.
When the officers spoke with the owner about the safe, the owner had not discovered that it was missing. The owner of the safe advised that they had discovered pry marks on their back door on January 28, 2016 but did not report it because they could not find anything missing.
A warrant for burglary of a habitation was issued for Reasno and served at the Lamar County Jail due to Reasno being arrested on January 30, 2016.
The investigations continue.
