PHS Students Place High at Recent UIL Academic Meets

phs uil winnersParis High students placed at recent academic meets.

Seniors Caroline Janes and Maggie Maxwell placed first in Duet Acting at the Austin chapter of the National Catholic Forensic League to qualify for the Grand National Tournament to be held over the Memorial Day weekend in Sacramento.

Kendra Thomas placed second in Student Congress, Patxsonnia Brown is an alternate to Nationals, and Kyson Hogue also competed at the meet.

Students also placed at UIL Academic meets in Lindale and North Lamar.

  • Calculator: 6. Chelsea Savage

North Lamar results:

  • Ready Writing: 1. Mason Hevron; 2. Shelby Wilson
  • Literary Criticism: 6. Rachel Young
  • Science: 2. Emma Napier; 4. Shreya Singh
  • LD Debate: Shreya Singh best speaker
  • Calculator: 2. Anna Floyd; 5. Chelsea Savage; 5. Justice Flowers; 6. Maria Gonzales
