North Lamar second grade students at Everett Elementary were educated on the Paris Fire of 1916 by students from Paris ISD.
The Paris students, who are working with the Centennial Fire Group, are sharing historical facts about the day of the fire and how the town came together to rebuild after the devastation.

The second graders learned of the orange flame project where areas are to be painted depicting the path of the fire. Informational bookmarks and color sheets were given to all the students.
A remembrance ceremony for the town of Paris is scheduled for Monday, March 21.
