This Saturday, September 13th the Red River Valley Tourism Association is presenting the 3rd Annual Museum “Stroll ‘n Roll.”
There will be free admission to several museums including the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site, the Lamar County Historical Museum, the Lamar County Genealogical Society & Library, the Chaparral Rails for Trails Museum and the City Drug Store Museum.
The Sam Bell Maxey House Museum is located at 812 Church Street, in Paris. The Lamar County Historical Museum is located at 1015 West Kaufman Street (behind the Paris Coca Cola on Bonham Street). The Lamar County Genealogical Society Library is located at 1135 Bonham Street at the South end of the Santa Fe-Frisco Depot. All the Paris museums will be open from 10am-5pm.
The two museums located in Roxton will be open from 10am-2pm. The City Drug Store Museum and The Chaparral Rails to Trails Museum the are both located on FM 38 in Downtown Roxton.
