Malone Arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

Jeffery Malone, 55, of Paris, was arrested at about 2:13 P.M. on September 16, 2014 and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

A Paris Police Officer made contact with Malone in the 700 block of Bonham St in reference to a traffic complaint.

Malone was wearing a shoulder holster under his right arm. When the officer inquired about the holster, Malone advised that the pistol was under the seat of the vehicle.

It was found that Malone had previously been convicted of impersonating a police officer which is a felony. Malone was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
