JoAnn Louise Clay of Paris, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 after a long illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Anthony Stoeppel as the officiant. Burial will be in the Boswell Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Oklahoma at 1:30 PM on Monday. No formal visitation hour will be held. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Born on August 1, 1928 in Superior, Nebraska, JoAnn spent her childhood in Colorado Springs where she lived in the Broadmoor area with her parents John Oliver Hill and Anna Boyd Hill. Quite the student, Joann graduated from high school at age 16 and soon graduated from Denver University at age 19 with a BA in English. After earning her private pilots license she began her career as an instructor at the United States Air force Academy and later as a civilian employee at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. JoAnn married the love of her life, Ronald Webster Clay of Boswell, Oklahoma on February 19, 1960 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They raised their family in Denver, Colorado and moved to Paris in 1979. JoAnn became a successful realtor and later worked tirelessly as a senior caseworker responsible for East Texas while employed by the State of Texas in Child Protective Services. JoAnn was a Delta Zeta in college and a charter member of the Paris PEO chapter where she had many dear friends.
She is survived by her husband Ron and her treasured children, Linda J. Young and her husband George of Fort Worth, Texas, Janet M. Partridge and her husband Joey of Paris, and Steven R. Clay and his wife Missy of Oklahoma City. She also is survived by her six grandchildren, Abbie and Bodie Clay, Lauren and Emily Partridge, and George and Catherine Young.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, those interested may contribute to a scholarship fund to be named for JoAnn at PEO Foundation. Donations may be made to: PEO Foundation with a notation for JoAnn Clay and mailed to Lueron Erickson, 106 Hideaway Lane, Powderly, Texas 75473.

James Lloyd Armstrong, 54, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Blackshear officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery at Roxton. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
James Lloyd, the son of Harold Lloyd & Neva Nell Staley Armstrong, was born Oct. 21, 1960, in Paris.
He graduated from West Lamar High School. He worked at the sesame plant for a short time before beginning his career in air conditioning & refrigeration. He received his certification in air conditioning & refrigeration and was a sheet metal mechanic. At the time of his passing he was working for MRG Air Conditioning.
James Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Jesse Armstrong of Como, one sister, Brenda McNeece & husband Roy of Paris, nieces, Kimberly McClure & husband Chris of Paris and Kristin Burkett & husband Daryl of Bokchito, OK, great nieces, Paige & Karli Shelton and Brylin Burkett along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Daryl Wayne Landreth, 63, of Blossom, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at his home.
Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. James McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in East Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Landreth, the son of Earnest & Mary Eunice Golightly Landreth, was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Dallas.
His career spanned many years and included being a propane truck driver, an excellent mechanic and a business owner. He was an avid NASCAR and dirt track fan. Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver, and he followed every race. Daryl enjoyed football, especially when his son, Morgan, was playing at Prairiland.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Eunice Landreth, a sister, Nellie Davis and a brother, Eddie Landreth.
Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Wade Landreth, whom he married on May 22, 1967, building 47 years of family and memories, his father, Earnest Landreth of Paris, children, Dana Huff & husband Keven of Blossom, Gene Landreth & wife Michelle of Roxton, Lucas Landreth of Roxton, daughter-in-law, Dana Dority of Paris and a son, Morgan Landreth of the home, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren with one on the way, a brother, Roger Landreth & wife Joyce of Alvarado, a sister, Caroland Sue Andreas of Daingerfield along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Larry Golightly, David Pearson, Gene Mears, C. J. Landreth, Matthew Mansfield and Jacob Mansfield.
