Patrick Steven Gaston, loving son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, passed away in his sleep on March 26, 2013. Steve will be greatly missed.
He was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, on August 13, 1950, to Frank & Mary Gaston. He married Donna Reed on December 4, 1971, and they had one daughter, Bonny.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Frank, and beloved brother, David.
Steve studied music at the University of Texas and was an accomplished musician, with the guitar being his instrument of choice. He lived many years in Ft. Worth, Texas, and he traveled extensively throughout his life and lived in Mexico and Canada, as well as all across the U.S., eventually settling in Paris, Texas in 2009. Steve was fluent in Spanish and French, and loved the country of Mexico, where he spent a great deal of his time, and where he leaves behind many friends and admirers. Steve loved life, and always enjoyed time spent with friends. He also loved visiting his grandsons, who greatly adored their Grandpa. He loved writing music, playing music, and spending his time in public service to others. One of four children, Steve was frequently found in the presence of his family. He was a gentleman, spoke most eloquently, was very witty, and loving.
He is survived by his mother Mary of Paris, Texas, brothers Parris Meyer of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and Michael Gaston of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter Bonny Glenn of McKinney, Texas, grandsons, Maximilian and Rhett Glenn, beloved nephew, Noah Gaston of Gorham, Maine, and beloved nieces Jillian Davis of Eustis, Maine and Gabrielle Gaston of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Graveside memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013, at Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, Texas.

Maria del Refugio Garcia, 86, of Paris, passed away at her home Sunday, March 31, 2013. A memorial service has been scheduled for 6:00 pm, Friday, April 5, 2013, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mrs. Garcia was born July 4, 1926, in Durango, Mexico to Longino Garcia and Maria Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents and also her husband, Antonio Rubio Carillo, whom she shared 40 years of life and memories.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Oosterloo & husband Luke of Paris; two sons, Luis Garcia & wife Lourdes of Las Vegas, NV and Antonio Rubio Garcia & wife Concepcion of Juarez, Mexico; grandchildren, Crystal & Christopher Sheppard, Isabel, Ivan, Jose Luis & Elia Garcia and Nadia & Antonio Rubio.
