Mrs. Bernice Joy Clarkson Goff, 84, of Paris passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Heritage House of Paris.

Mrs. Goff was born on September 2, 1928 in Lamar County, Texas a daughter of John Wesley Clarkson, Jr. and Beulah Cagle Clarkson. She was a homemaker and loved to crochet, sew, work crossword puzzles, play forty-two, camping and fishing.

On September 3, 1946 she married Louie Van Goff in Paris. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a son Phillip Van Goff in 1982, her parents, four brothers and sisters Clyde Clarkson, Sarah Wilson, Clara Bates, and Inez McHam.

Surviving Mrs. Goff are her children Sandra Kay Goff Griffin Toney and husband Charles Philip Toney of Keller and Louie Neal Goff and wife Mary Weehunt Goff of Faught;grandchildren Lea Mattson, Michael Brady Griffin, Rebecca Carico Rogers, and Tanner Goff; great-grandchildren Austin Kaercher, Alyson Kaercher, Hunter Rogers, Connor Rogers, and Fletcher Rogers; brothers Randall Clarkson of Blossom and John Clarkson of Nebraska; sister Gladys Varner of Paris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the SpringhillCemeterywith Tanner Goff, Michael Brady Griffin, Austin Kaercher, Hunter Rogers, Craig Mattson, and Chuck Toney serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Earlene Hignight McFatridge, 89, of Paris passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 in Heritage House of Paris.

Mrs. McFatridge was born on July 26, 1923 in Deport a daughter of John Wesley and Cordellia Lowe Hignight. She was a graduate of East Texas State University receiving a degree in Elementary Education. She taught for over forty years spending most of her teaching career at Graham Elementary School. Earlene was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she attended the Phebe Sunday School Class and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

On August 8, 1963 she married Claude H. McFatridge in Blossom,Texas. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1999. Earlene was also preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by ten nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Burial will be in the EvergreenCemetery. Family will receive friends and hour prior to service on Tuesday. If desired memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Jerry Barker (Flip) Wilson, 71, of Paris passed away Sunday December 2, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Centerafter a courageous battle with cancer. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct a graveside service Saturday Dec. 8, 2012 at 12 noon atMt.TaborCemeterywith Rev. Don Morton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 6-7 p.m.

Jerry was born January 28, 1941 in Paris a son of James S. and Zelma Davidson Wilson. He married Mary Louise Hoette in Paris on June 28, 1959. He served his country in the Navy. He was a retired truck driver having driven oil tankers, driving for David Buster Construction and also was a Wonder Bread Independent Distributor. He was of the Baptist Faith and also a charter member of the Paris Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge where all the members were very special to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Carole Dean Wilson, James Troy Wilson, Lee Carlton Wilson; sisters, Martha Mozelle Wilson, Mary Belle Wilson and grandson Ryan Dean Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary; children Robbie Dean Wilson and wife Kathy, Danny Wayne Wilson, Jerry Dale Wilson and wife Cindy; grandchildren Amy, Kendall, Caleb, Dillon, Blake, Shelby, Keely; 3 great grandchildren Kentlee, Laken, Addison; brothers Harold Ray Wilson, Hugh Charlie Wilson and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends Bo Wilson and Medford Kernal and his dog Sambo.

Joe M. McDowell, 90, of Paris passed away Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012. Arrangements are pending with Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
