The deadline to file an application to run for Paris City Council in Districts 4, 5 and 7 or in any of the local school board elections was Friday, February 27, 2015 at 5pm.
The only seats that are still open for filing are two Paris ISD school board seats resulting from the resignation of Tracy Bawcum and Dale Henry, resulting in a Special Election. The deadline to file in those two districts is March 9, 2015 at 5pm.
The City’s General Election will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, for City Council Districts, 4, 5, and 7 as well as for local school board elections.
Early voting runs from April 27, 2015 through May 5, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each week day, except for Monday, April 27, 2015 and Tuesday, April 28, 2015, when the hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Early voting and Election Day voting is held at the Lamar County Courthouse Annex, located at 231 Lamar Avenue.
Those not registered to vote have 30 days prior to election day to register.
