BETTY RUTH LUTTRELL, 81, of Paris, passed from this life Friday April 11, 2014 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Cremation arrangements were provided by Starrett Funeral Home, and although there will be no formal services, the family wishes to remind their friends that Easter is coming. Take a few moments during your celebration to remember Betty, and to affirm that we will see her again.
Betty was born February 17, 1933 in Paris, a daughter of Roy F. and Maude Jones Westbrook. She attended public schools in Paris, and was a graduate of Paris High School. She is remembered for her dedicated service to the former L.P. McCuistion Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Curry; a brother, Roy O. Westbrook; and a grandson, Louis Carroll, Jr.
She is survived by four children; Mike Liesman, of Paris; Pam Branum , of Roxton, Mitzi King, of Fulbright, and Brenda Moss, of Hopewell; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mary Letha Hughes Leonard passed away on April 11, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Mary, aged 76, was born on December 8, 1937 in Brownsville, Texas but lived most of her life in McAllen, Texas. She lived in Blossom, Texas from January 1972 until May of 2000 where her children went to school and she was very active in the community. Mary was married to Terrence James “Terry” Leonard Sr. for 54 years at the time of his death. Mary was well known in the North Texas for her strong dedication to the Grassroots Democrats. She worked on campaigns for several Senators, Congressman, Attorney Generals and Governors and was friends with the late Ann Richards. She worked for several years for Congressman Chapman from Texas 1st district. Mary is survived by her three wonderful children, Susan Smith and husband Kelly, Terrence James Leonard II and wife Diann, Lisa Thomas and husband Andrew and four incredible grandchildren, Catherine and Jessica Smith; Brittany and Zachary Thomas and her mother, Eddie Letha Hughes of Mission and sister, Samantha Minardi, of Austin.
A service celebrating her life will be held graveside at 11:00 am on the 15th of April at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission, Texas in the Hughes family plot. Mary was much loved and will be missed by everyone.
