obituaryMrs. Helen Faye Johnson Crawford, 82, of Hamburg, AR, passed from this life, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Gardner Nursing Center in Star City, AR.  Mrs. Crawford was born July 28, 1931 in Clarksville, TX along with her twin sister, Ellen, to John Howard Johnson and Margie Young Johnson. She resided in Paris, TX until 2008 when she moved to Hamburg, AR to be with her son and family.  She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church in Hamburg, AR.

She was preceded in death along with her parents, her twin sister, Ellen Coutts; a sister, Louise Stinson and four brothers, Douglas, John D., Jesse and Bobby Johnson.

She is survived by two sons, James Bailey and wife, Norma, of Hamburg, AR and Michael Bailey and wife, Sandra, of Malvern, AR; a sister, Betty Pitts of Paris, TX and a brother, Charles Goodwin and wife, Dixie, of Duncan, OK; two grandsons, Blake & Ryan Bailey; two granddaughters, Judy Castra and Amy Quinn; a step-grandson, Kevin Rial and wife, Renee; 8 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, TX with James Bailey officiating.  Burial will be in the Stone Chapel Cemetery in Clarksville, TX. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m., Monday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, TX.

carney pn003Frankie Lee Carney, 84, of Paris passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at her residence.

 

She was born on October 6, 1929 in Hugo, Oklahoma a daughter of John William and Clara Lassiter Miller. She was retired from Southwestern Bell as an engineer. On August 13, 1968 she married Arnol O. Carney in Plano. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Juanita Foster Streety, Joyce Meredith and Xerxes Miller.

 

Mrs. Carney is survived by a brother Douglas Miller, sister Mary Carnell, loving care givers Geraldine and Charles Barnett, niece Linda and Jack Gross, nephew Steven and Vicki Foster, several other nieces and nephews and step-children Larry and Vicki Carney, Betty and Lewis Wayne Hale, Ollin and Reba Carney and Jojuana and Jerry Anderson.

 

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Meadowbrook Gardens with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Friends may call at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Monday evening to sign the register and view. The family will be at the home of Steven and Vicki Foster after the graveside service.
