Paris Police Officers responded a string of calls regarding burglaries over the weekend in SE Paris, especially on SE 33rd Street.
First was a call about a burglary of a residence in the 800 block of SE 33rd St at about 10:41 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2014. It was reported that someone had possibly entered the residence through the doggie door and had taken jewelry, cash and an I-Pad.
The burglary was reported to have possibly been committed several days ago. The victim advised that the loss of the property was valued at several thousand dollars. The incident is under investigation.
A second residence was reported to have been burglarized on Saturday, September 27th also in the 800 block of SE 33rd St. The victims advised officers that someone had entered their residence and had stolen a small safe that was concealed in a closet. The victims stated that they did not know when this burglary had taken place. This incident is also being investigated.
Then about 8:09 P.M. on Sunday, September 28, 2014, Paris Police were called to the 1000 block of SE 33rd St in reference to suspicious activity. It was reported that the owner of the residence had left his residence at about 7P.M. to ride his motorcycle and upon returning, found that someone had quickly exited his residence through the back door upon his arrival.
Evidence was located at the residence that will possibly lead investigators to a suspect. Nothing was reported taken in the incident.
