The Paris Junior College baseball team had an unexpected visitor attend a squad game recently. Former Minnesota Twins manager and 1977 alumnus Ron Gardenhire stopped by to show his wife Carol the campus and say “hello” to the players. Coach Gardenhire had not been back to Paris since his final spring semester in 1977.
“This has been one of my top baseball experiences of all time,” said PJC baseball coach Deron Clark. “Coach Gardenhire visited with the team and took the time to take a group picture.”
